The Great Pyramid has Three Main Chambers. The middle chamber, called the Queen’s chamber (C), has a
“niche” carved in its wall that is very peculiar.
This "Niche" is in the Queen's Chamber of the Great Pyramid.
Take your best guess at what it was used for.
In regards to the Queen's Chamber, "What is the niche in the wall"?
One of the items in Egypt that has "puzzled" me for some time was the Niche in the Queen's Chamber. I knew the shape looked familiar to me and I finally know why.
The answer is in the Islamic Mosque, a niche called the Mihrab.
“In a Mosque there is a Niche in the wall that indicates the "Qibla", that is, the direction of the Kabba in Mecca and hence the direction that Muslims should face when Praying. This niche is called the Mihrab. The word Mihrab means "a special room in a house" "a throne room" .The Mihrab is "the most honorable location of Kings" and "the master of locations" The term was used by the prophet Mohamed to denote his own private Prayer room.” -wiki
As you know the Muslims occupied Egypt for a long time. Was it in the Queen's Chamber that they learned the idea of a niche in the wall that "points" us in a direction to pray?
The Muslims point their Mihrabs to Mecca their most Holy Site. If the niche in the wall of the Queen's Chamber is a Mihrab then where did it direct the Egyptian's prayers?
I have attached a photo showing a "variety" of Mihrabs compared to the Queen's Chamber's niche. The comparison is uncanny. Maybe there is something to be learned from the Muslims about The Great Pyramid's Queen's Chamber.
Here are a selection of Mirhabs found in Islamic Mosques.

“Very good observation, Mark. It is difficult to date carved stone. So maybe the queen’s chamber niche is Islamic. It is already documented that they first opened the Great Pyramid, even stripped it of its casing stone, and dug there for treasure.”
Charles Westbrook Author of Kabalyon Key
Westbrook raises a good point- maybe the niche was carved by the Muslims, or maybe the Muslims copied the Queen’s Chamber Niche in their Mosques.
It should be noted that the Niche points to the South and Not to Mecca. But if not to Mecca, where?
Let’s talk about the next piece of the puzzle In an Islamic Mosque, it is called a Minbar.
Wiki - “A minbar (Arabic: منبر, also spelt mimbar or mimber) is a pulpit in the mosque where the imam (leader of prayer) stands to deliver sermons.
The minbar is located to the right of the mihrab, the niche that indicates the direction of prayer (i.e. towards Mecca).
I believe the Minbar is a Stairway to Heaven.
Let’s Look at a Minbar and Mihrab.

I believe we are looking at a symbolic doorway and stairway to Heaven.
This same Symbolism is found in the Great Pyramid.
But first, let’s look at a variety of Minbars and Mihrabs.
The Mirhab and The Minbar
The Door to heaven and the Stairway to Heaven found in Islamic Mosques.
I believe these symbols originated in the Great Pyramid of Giza.

To recap:
In a Mosque there is a Niche in the wall that indicates the "Qibla", that is, the direction of the Kabba in Mecca and hence the direction that Muslims should face when Praying. This niche is called the Mihrab, seen here on the left. On the right is the Queen’s Chamber “niche” in the Great Pyramid. I believe they are the same.
If the “niche” in a mosque points to “Mecca”, the Holy of Holies in Islam, where does the “nich” in the Queen’s Chamber point?

Just like a Minbar in an Islamic Mosque, The Grand Gallery is a Stairway to Heaven.
